Natural remedies for the 15 most common aches, pains, and health complaints

Is the economy beating you up? It’s time to get creative. Next time you have an ache or pain, forget about a costly trip to the drugstore and test-drive some of your grandmother’s remedies instead. It’ll save money and be gentler on your body and the environment.

 1. Stop Bleeding You’d think it would burn, but a sprinkle of cayenne pepper on a cut will quickly stop the bleeding and actually relieve the pain.

2. Toothache

Here’s nothing so bad as the shooting pain of a toothache. You don’t want to ignore a tooth problem, because an infection that close to your brain can be extremely dangerous if it spreads. But in order to reduce swelling and pain while you wait for a dentist appointment, try putting a few drops of clove oil on your tooth and gums, and bite down on a smashed piece of garlic (which has excellent antibacterial properties). This has always worked for me.

3. Rashes and Allergies

Prescription and OTC antihistamines can cause some serious side effects. Before you head for the strong stuff, try green tea, which contains compounds with antihistamine properties. You’ll need to drink 2-3 cups a day to get the full effect.

4. Athlete’s Foot

It’s a foot fungus, and it stinks. Air those piggies, then soak them in salty water, wash them with garlic juice, or soak them with diluted white or apple cider vinegar. All of these things will help kill the fungus.

But you have to be persistent, consistent, and diligent: No matter what treatment you use, do it a few times a day and stick with it until at least a week after you think the symptoms are gone! Fungus excels at hiding out and coming back when you least expect it.

5. Acne and Sensitive Skin

Firstly, you really have to look at your lifestyle, because imbalances in your health can show up in your skin. But in the meantime, wash your face with oatmeal. It’s a gentle exfoliant and draws out oil and impurities.

 6. Ear Infections

Ear infections can become quite serious and cause permanent damage, so please see a doctor if your ear ache has become severe.

But if you feel like your infection is mild and at the beginning stages, put a few drops of garlic oil or white vinegar into your ear canal and lay down on the opposite side to let those drops do their work. Garlic and vinegar create an environment that won’t support the bacteria causing the infection. Repeat a few times a day until the symptoms disappear. (If your symptoms last longer than a few days, you should definitely see a doctor!)

Allah SWT memberi keistimewaan khusus kepada unta. Unta yang tinggal dipadang pasir nan panas dan gersang mampu menahan lapar selama delapan hari. Unta yang amapu bertahan hidup 3 minggu tanpa air. Subhanallah!

Punuk unta merupakan timbunan lemak yang akan menyediakan sari makanan bila ia kelaparan dan kehausan. Jika tidak menemukan makanan, unta boleh memakan tanaman berduri. Allah SWT menciptakan mulut unta tebal dan kuat seperti karet.

Allah SWT Yang Maha Pengasih memberikan rahmat dan kemakmuran kepada semua makhluk ciptaanNya tanpa pilih kasih.Sehingga Allah SWT memiliki nama indah Ar-Rahmaan. Yaitu Maha pengasih.

"Tidak ada seorang pun dilangit dan dibumi, kecuali akan datang kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Pemurah selaku seorang hamba." (QS.Maryam:93)

Polis rejim Zionis serbu kedai milik rakyat Palestin di Jerusalem, cederakan pekerja

Isnin , 20/12/2010 - Pada malam Rabu lalu, sepasukan polis rejim Zionis telah menyerbu sebuah kedai di Jerusalem, membuang barang-barang di dalam kedai itu dan menyerang para pekerja kedai itu. Manakala anak lelaki pemilik kedai itu patah kaki dalam insiden tersebut sementara pekerja yang lain ditahan.

Dalam insiden itu, pertengkaran sengit telah terjadi antara salah seorang anak lelaki pemilik kedai itu iaitu Moataz, 18, dan seorang anggota polis anti-pengganas rejim Zionis yang bernama Yamam. Insiden berlaku selepas Moataz meminta bas yang membawa pasukan polis rejim Zionis yang diletakkan di hadapan kedai itu dialihkan bagi memberi laluan kepada trak penghantar barang, kata Mahmoud Barakat, seorang lagi anak lelaki pemilik kedai itu. Pemandu bas itu meminta kerjasama 6 orang anggota polis rejim Zionis yang kemudiannya bertindak menyerbu kedai dan membaling keluar semua barang di dalam kedai itu.

Semasa kejadian, anggota polis rejim Zionis telah membelasah Ahmed Barakat dengan teruk, yang sememangnya lumpuh akibat kemalangan jalan raya. Kaki kanannya dipatahkan oleh anggota polis rejim Zionis tanpa belas walaupun mereka yang hadir merayu tidak diperlakukan begitu ke atas Barakat yang lumpuh. Tidak cukup dengan itu, rejim Zionis memecahkan CCTV kedai itu dan rakamannya dipadam untuk menghilangkan bukti kebinatangan mereka.

Are you the eraser or the pencil?

So touching! 

Pencil: I'm sorry....
Eraser: For what? You didn't do anything wrong.
Pencil: I'm sorry cos you get hurt b'cos of me. Whenever I made a mistake, you're always there to erase it. But as you make my mistakes vanish, you lose a part of yourself. You get smaller and smaller each time.
Eraser: That's true. But I don't really mind. You see, I was made to do this. I was made to help you whenever you do something wrong. Even though one day, I know I'll be gone and you'll replace me with a new one, I'm actually happy with my job. So please, stop worrying. I hate seeing you sad. :)

I found this conversation between the pencil and the eraser very inspirational. Parents are like the eraser whereas their children are the pencil. They're always there for their children, cleaning up their mistakes. Sometimes along the way... they get hurt, and become smaller (older, and eventually pass on). Though their children will eventually find someone new (spouse), but parents are still happy with what they do for their children, and will always hate seeing their precious ones worrying, or sad.

MABUK DALAM CINTA TERHADAP ALLAH

Dikisahkan dalam sebuah kitab karangan Imam Al-Ghazali bahawa pada suatu hari Nabi Isa a.s berjalan di hadapan seorang pemuda yang sedang menyiram air di kebun. Bila pemuda yang sedang menyiram air itu melihat kepada Nabi Isa a.s berada di hadapannya maka dia pun berkata, "Wahai Nabi Isa a.s, kamu mintalah dari Tuhanmu agar Dia memberi kepadaku seberat semut Zarrah cintaku kepada-Nya."
Berkata Nabi Isa a.s, "Wahai saudaraku, kamu tidak akan terdaya untuk seberat Jarrah itu."

Berkata pemuda itu lagi, "Wahai Isa a.s, kalau aku tidak terdaya untuk satu Jarrah, maka kamu mintalah untukku setengah berat Jarrah."
Oleh kerana keinginan pemuda itu untuk mendapatkan kecintaannya kepada Allah, maka Nabi Isa a.s pun berdoa, "Ya Tuhanku, berikanlah dia setengah berat Jarrah cintanya kepada-Mu." Setelah Nabi Isa a.s berdoa maka beliau pun berlalu dari situ.
Selang beberapa lama Nabi Isa a.s datang lagi ke tempat pemuda yang memintanya berdoa, tetapi Nabi Isa a.s tidak dapat berjumpa dengan pemuda itu. Maka Nabi Isa a.s pun bertanya kepada orang yang lalu-lalang di tempat tersebut, dan berkata kepada salah seorang yang berada di situ bahawa pemuda itu telah gila dan kini berada di atas gunung. 

Setelah Nabi Isa a.s mendengat penjelasan orang-orang itu maka beliau pun berdoa kepada Allah S.W.T, "Wahai Tuhanku, tunjukkanlah kepadaku tentang pemuda itu." Selesai sahaja Nabi Isa a.s berdoa maka beliau pun dapat melihat pemuda itu yang berada di antara gunung-ganang dan sedang duduk di atas sebuah batu besar, matanya memandang ke langit.
Nabi Isa a.s pun menghampiri pemuda itu dengan memberi salam, tetapi pemuda itu tidak menjawab salam Nabi Isa a.s, lalu Nabi Isa berkata, "Aku ini Isa a.s."Kemudian Allah S.W.T menurunkan wahyu yang berbunyi, "Wahai Isa, bagaimana dia dapat mendengar perbicaraan manusia, sebab dalam hatinya itu terdapat kadar setengah berat Jarrah cintanya kepada-Ku. Demi Keagungan dan Keluhuran-Ku, kalau engkau memotongnya dengan gergaji sekalipun tentu dia tidak mengetahuinya." 

Barangsiapa yang mengakui tiga perkara tetapi tidak menyucikan diri dari tiga perkara yang lain maka dia adalah orang yang tertipu.

1. Orang yang mengaku kemanisan berzikir kepada Allah, tetapi dia mencintai dunia. 

2. Orang yang mengaku cinta ikhlas di dalam beramal, tetapi dia inginmendapat sanjungan dari    manusia. 

3. Orang yang mengaku cinta kepada Tuhan yang menciptakannya, tetapi tidak berani merendahkan dirinya.

Rasulullah S.A.W telah bersabda, "Akan datang waktunya umatku akan mencintai lima lupa kepada yang lima

1. Mereka cinta kepada dunia. Tetapi mereka lupa kepada akhirat. 

2. Mereka cinta kepada harta benda. Tetapi mereka lupa kepada hisab. 

3. Mereka cinta kepada makhluk. Tetapi mereka lupa kepada al-Khaliq. 

4. Mereka cinta kepada dosa. Tetapi mereka lupa untuk bertaubat. 

5. Mereka cinta kepada gedung-gedung mewah. Tetapi mereka lupa kepada kubur." 

Astronomers say they've found oldest galaxy so far

WASHINGTON – Astronomers believe they've found the oldest thing they've ever seen in the universe: It's a galaxy far, far away from a time long, long ago.

Hidden in a Hubble Space Telescope photo released earlier this year is a small smudge of light that European astronomers now calculate is a galaxy from 13.1 billion years ago. That's a time when the universe was very young, just shy of 600 million years old. That would make it the earliest and most distant galaxy seen so far.

By now the galaxy is so ancient it probably doesn't exist in its earlier form and has already merged into bigger neighbors, said Matthew Lehnert of the Paris Observatory, lead author of the study published online Wednesday in the journal Nature.

"We're looking at the universe when it was a 20th of its current age," said California Institute of Technology astronomy professor Richard Ellis, who wasn't part of the discovery team. "In human terms, we're looking at a 4-year-old boy in the life span of an adult."

While Ellis finds the basis for the study "pretty good," there have been other claims about the age of distant space objects that have not held up to scrutiny. And some experts have questions about this one. But even the skeptics praised the study as important and interesting.

The European astronomers calculated the age after 16 hours of observations from a telescope in Chile that looked at light signatures of cooling hydrogen gas.
Earlier this year, astronomers had made a general estimate of 600 to 800 million years after the Big Bang for the most distant fuzzy points of light in the Hubble photograph, which was presented at an astronomy meeting back in January.

In the new study, researchers focused on a single galaxy in their analysis of hydrogen's light signature, further pinpointing the age. Garth Illingworth of the University of California, Santa Cruz, who was the scientist behind the Hubble image, said it provides confirmation for the age using a different method, something he called amazing "for such faint objects."

The new galaxy doesn't have a name — just a series of letters and numbers. So Lehnert said he and colleagues have called it "the high red-shift blob. "Because it takes so long for the light to travel such a vast time and distance, astronomers are seeing what the galaxy looked like 13.1 billion years ago at a time when it was quite young — maybe even as young as 100 million years old — Lehnert said. It has very little of the carbon or metal that we see in more mature stars and is full of young, blue massive stars, he said.
What's most interesting to astronomers is that this finding fits with theories about when the first stars and galaxies were born. This galaxy would have formed not too soon after them.

"We're looking almost to the edge, almost within 100 million years of seeing the very first objects," Ellis said. "One hundred million years to a human seems an awful long time, but in astronomical time periods, that's nothing compared to the life of the stars."
